TOUCHDOWN CLUB
Welcome to Monroe Hornets Football dot com

The 2009 season will begin this Saturday and the team is hard at work preparing to re-capture the SWBL Buckeye division title.
This season will be the last year the Hornets will play in the Buckeye division as we move up to the Southwestern division in 2010.

Although last year was a transition year, the team is making major advances in strength, speed and agility under the direction of Head Coach Ken Meibers.

This year the TD Club, through the support of the Monroe community and with the help of the football players, parent volunteers and coaches, raised money through two major fund raisers (the mulch sale and value card sale) that enabled us to donate many tools the program needs to succeed. We were able to donate new speed and agility tools, new game pants, practice jerseys, Nike compression shirts and repaint all the helmets with a new design. The TD Club also donated new stereo equipment for the weight room and locker room, goal boards and signs to track the players progress, game socks, camp insurance and coaching fees for the SWOFCA and MVFC. The Club also donated computer equipment such as an external hard drive for the coaches’ computer, a laptop for the stat crew with software for keeping stats and 100 DVD’s for game/practice film.

This year the team looks poised to make a run for the playoffs again and the TD Club is committed to providing the necessary tools to help the team advance into an elite program. We would like to thank the people of Monroe and our Sponsors for their endless support and invite you back to Monroe Hornets Football dot com as we capture the fine efforts of our wonderful student athletes and bring them here for all to enjoy.

Thanks again for your continued support.
With Hornet Pride!
